Reimei Choir, with an orchestra, highlights the festivity.
Under the direction of Prof. Kazutaka Shinkawa of the Osaka University of Music, the Reimei Choir rehearses once a week throughout the year for a performance with orchestra at the annual celebration of Mokichi Okada's birthday on December 23rd. Over the years, beginning with the 100th anniversary in 1982, the 60-member, four-part chorus has performed oratorios by Bach, Handel, and Haydn, Beethoven's 9th symphony, works by Mozart, Bizet, and others.
